We welcomed back Keiko this week. As much fun as we’ve had with her, we should probably start a Japanese Club! She shared with us some traditional Japanese toys that we all had fun playing with. Maria and Cinthia were both able to get the ball into the cup of the kendama, but Mrs. Renfro was no good at it.
We also played the fruit basket game using the Japanese words for apple, peach, and grape (Ringo, Momo, and Budou). The kids raced to find a chair when their fruit was called. We almost had a few head-on collisions.

At the end of our hour together, Keiko wrote our names in Japanese and we had a drawing to give away a Daruma Otoshi, a Japanese block toy. Antonio was the lucky winner!
